The Kelly Group is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina and has a focus on two primary areas:  First, our team has decades of experience in strategic park and recreation planning, environmental and nature center and nature preserve planning, and park foundation and alternative fund development.  We have partnered with professional firms such as Hays Landscape Architectural Studio, and LandDesign, Inc., a national urban planning company.

More recently, Brad K. Chambers, Founder and Principal, has transitioned and focused on his second area of expertise:  Personal financial planning with a focus on retirement planning.  He has prepared Retirement Plans for family and close friends for the last decade.  Then, a few years ago, he noticed that few if any educational sessions on financial or retirement planning were being offered to the parks and recreation professional at the state or national level, and realized this was an important niche that was not being addressed.  In a short period of time, he has been asked to author a series of articles for several state parks and rec associations, and his “You’re Not In It For The Money–But You Need to Be!” has become the most requested session he has ever given.

His personalized Financial Retirement Plans focus on each individual’s life situations, with the realization that every single person’s is different.  As Billy Hollowell, Director of Parks and Recreation in McKenzie, Tennessee was kind of enough to share:

Brad is a Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Park and Recreation Administration, where he was selected as an Academy member in 2015.
